How a ClueGo hunt works
From the first pin on the map to the podium, here is everything that happens, for organizers and for players.
Organizer
For organizers
- 1
Build the route
Search a place, tap the map to drop a checkpoint and drag to fine-tune. Street view with 3D buildings helps you pick the right corner. Checkpoints stay within 5 km of the first one.
- 2
Write clues and pick unlocks
For each checkpoint choose how teams prove they were there: GPS zone, on-site answer, photo or sponsor code. Set points and an optional hint.
- 3
Verify once, then publish
Add an emergency contact number and verify your identity once. Publish to get a six-letter join code, a link and a printable start poster.
- 4
Run it live
Watch every team on a map, approve photos, send a message to everyone, pause the hunt or add time.
- 5
Crown the winners
The leaderboard is final the moment the last team finishes. Share results and photos after the event.

Player
For players
- 1
Join with a code
Enter the code or open the link. Make a team of up to five, or join a friend's team. Works in the app or the browser.
- 2
Read the clue
The map shows a search zone, not the exact spot. A meter tells you when you are getting warmer.
- 3
Unlock the checkpoint
Stand inside the zone, type what is written there, snap a photo or ask the counter for the code. Our server checks it.
- 4
Race the leaderboard
Points for every checkpoint, a bonus for speed and a small penalty for hints. Watch your rank change live.

Fair play, checked for you
- Answers are stored on our server and never sent to players' phones.
- Distance is measured on the server, not trusted from the phone.
- Fake-GPS apps and impossible speeds are flagged.
- Organizers can remove points or disqualify teams that break the rules.
Safety
Built to keep players safe
Verified organizers
Before a hunt goes public, the organizer shows a government ID and takes a live selfie. Our team checks both by hand.
Emergency number on every hunt
Each hunt has a contact number and a help button that shares the player's location with the organizer and shows 112.
Hunts stay in one area
Checkpoints must be close together, so no team is sent across the city.
Location only while playing
The app uses location only while it is open. No background tracking, no ads.
