What we collect

Your email address (to sign in), the name and avatar you choose, the hunts and teams you join, your points, and the check-ins you make: time, location, and any answer, QR code or photo you submit at a checkpoint.

Location

We use your location only while the app is open. It shows how far you are from a checkpoint and lets our server verify check-ins. During a live hunt, the organizer of that hunt can see your team's last known position, so they can run a fair and safe event.

We never track you in the background and we do not use your location for ads.

Emergency button

If you press "Alert organizer" in the help menu, we send your current location to the organizer of your hunt and open your phone's share sheet so you can send it to anyone you choose.

Organizer identity check

Organizers (only) verify their identity once before publishing a hunt: full name, date of birth, mobile number, the type and last 4 characters of a government ID, a photo of that ID (a masked Aadhaar, never a full Aadhaar number) and a live selfie. We use them only to confirm the organizer is a real adult, to show a Verified badge, and to help if there is a complaint or an emergency. They are stored privately and only ClueGo admins can see them. We delete them when the organizer deletes their account.

Players never need to share an ID. Mobile numbers you add as the emergency contact of a hunt are shown to that hunt's players.

Photos

Checkpoint photos are visible only to your team and the hunt organizer. Your avatar and team name are visible to other players.

Payments

Payments for tickets and for the Pro plan are processed by Razorpay. We never see or store your card, UPI or bank details. We keep the order id, amount and status of each payment.

Notifications

If you allow notifications, we store a device token to send you hunt updates (start reminders, organizer messages, leaderboard changes). Turn them off any time in your phone settings.

Usage statistics

We record simple game events (a hunt was viewed, a team joined, a checkpoint was unlocked, a hunt was finished) so organizers can improve their hunts. We do not use third-party advertising or tracking tools.

This website

When you send a form on this website (book a demo, partner with us, newsletter, notify me) we store what you typed in it, only to reply to you and to send what you asked for. You can unsubscribe from emails with one click or ask us to delete your details any time.

Who sees your data

Other players see your name, avatar and team score. Organizers see check-ins, photos, positions and payments for their own hunts. Our service providers (Supabase for hosting, Razorpay for payments, Expo for notifications) process data only to run ClueGo. We do not sell your data.

How long we keep it

We keep your account data until you delete it. Hunt results stay with the hunt; if you delete your account they are no longer linked to you.

Deleting your data

Delete your account any time: Profile, Delete account. This removes your profile, avatar, identity check photos, team memberships, device tokens and sign-in. You can also request deletion on our delete account page.

Children

ClueGo is meant for players aged 13 and over. Younger players should play only with a parent or as part of a supervised event.
